Irish middleweight and TUF veteran Chris Fields (10-6-1) is set to return at BAMMA 21 on June 13th in Birmingham, as confirmed by a press release earlier today.
Fields had returned to the cage this past February at BAMMA 18 after over 18 months out of action, although he had competed on The Ultimate Fighter with teammate Cathal Pendred in between then.
It wasn’t a triumphant comeback for Fields however as he suffered a devastating TKO loss just 23 seconds into his fight with Cheick Kone (see here), his first in nearly six years.
His opponent is undefeated Polish fighter Marcin Prostko (4-0). The 28-year-old turned professional just last year and has impressed thus far on the local scene with four straight wins including three stoppage victories.
Fields is 1-3-1 in his past five fights and will be seeking to get back to winning ways and attempt to try capture BAMMA middleweight gold.
