MTV’s Geordie Shore’s Aaron Chalmers is making baby steps towards his red panty night as BAMMA, one of the UK’s leading MMA promotions, today revealed he will be making his debut for them on May 12th from the Genting Arena in Birmingham.
On the BAMMA 29 card, Chalmers, by way of a press release insists he is coming to make a statement from the opening bell and silence any doubters, “I’m putting my heart and soul into this camp. I plan to go out there and leave it all on the line. My opponent is just a stepping stone that I will stamp on and continue my journey onwards.”
The star of Geordie Shore spoke with #WHOATV several months back. He revealed his enthusiasm for the sport and his future aspirations. An excerpt of that interview is in the video below.
BAMMA CEO, David Green, is optimistic ahead of Chalmers debut. “Aaron has shown us here at BAMMA that this is not just a side project for him. He has committed to making this a successful career and we are pleased to give him a platform to begin this roller coaster of a journey.”
Training in the UTC gym in Birmingham, Chalmers has displayed promise in preparations having also travelled to the spiritual home of Muay Thai, Thailand, to sharpen his skill set ahead for his professional MMA debut.
