UFC RETURN TO FLORIDA WITH WERDUM vs BROWNE

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will return to the state of Florida for the first time in nearly seven years this April 19th and it will be UFC on FOX 11.

Two fights have already been announced for the card, in-form heavyweight Fabricio Werdum (17-5-1) and Travis Browne (16-1-1) will face each other in a title eliminator and former title challengers Liz Carmouche (9-4) and Miesha (13-5) Tate will square off.

Fabricio Werdum has shown great form winning all three fights since returning to the UFC in 2012 after being away nearly four years. Impressive wins over Mike Russow, Big Nog, and Roy Nelson have put the former champ back into title contention.

Travis Browne had an amazing 2013 winning all of his three fights by first round TKO’s. Not only were his wins devastating but the calibre of opponents beaten was truly remarkable and is what made many pick the 31-year-old as one of the standout fighters of the year. Browne will also be looking for his third straight victory over an old-school MMA legend after beating Overeem and Barnett in his past two appearances.

Carmouche and Tate is face each other in what is a must-win fight as both fighters are coming off loses and have losing UFC records. Carmouche is currently 1-2 in her UFC career while Tate will be chasing her first UFC win after going 0-2 so far.

Neither fight will act as main event of the evening thus leaving an all important TBA fight to headline the card in the 19,000 seater Amway Center arena in Orlando, Florida.
