BAMMA’s bantamweight and featherweight champion Tom Duquesnoy has signed with the UFC.
Duquesnoy won the last fight of his contract at BAMMA 27 defeating Alan Philpott in the second round by rear-naked choke and has done enough to be rewarded for his recent form by signing a contract with the UFC. The Frenchman holds a 14-1 professional record with the only blemish a submission loss to Finnish featherweight Makwan Amirkhani back in his fifth fight in 2013. He has since won ten fights including notable victories over Brendan Loughnane and Shay Walsh as well as Philpott.
The 23-year-old is destined to be one of the brightest stars to come out of Europe and with UFC London on the horizon, would it be too much to ask to see Firekid on that card?
Dusquesnoy is a member of the highly reputable Jackson Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico which is also home to Jon Jones, Holly Holm and Donald Cerrone.
It is not yet clear when Duquesnoy will make his debut or if he will remain at Bantamweight or return to Featherweight.
