Northern Irelands ”Stormin” Norman Parke is the latest fighter to be released from the UFC. Parke broke the news via his Facebook account late last night.
Parke went 5-3-1 during his UFC stint and also was crowned The Ultimate Fighter The Smashes Winner back in 2012.
Of his three losses, two came by split decision and the most recent came at the hands of Rustam Khabilov at #UFCLondon in February.

Tony’s Thoughts:
Its always tough hearing news that a European fighter has been released from the UFC as I have seen first hand just what these girls and guys put in to getting to the UFC.
But that said I think Parke has a great opportunity in Europe to get some big wins back under his belt. The Lightweight division in Europe is particularly hot right not and there are some real top quality fights available for him across a variety of promotions.
You could certainly argue that Parke has been unfortunate to be cut given that two of his losses were split decisions and one of them was against someone who has since failed a drugs test (Gleison Tibau) but onwards and upwards for Parke who must take this opportunity to remind folks why he is one of the best Lightweights in Europe.
