Stormin Norman added to UFC Dublin

Norman Parke will return to action on July 19th taking on Naoyuki Kotani who is making his return to the UFC. The fight will see the Northern Irish fighter look to get back to winning ways, after posting three straight wins, his last fight was a majority draw against Leonardo Santos in Brazil. “Stormin” Norman Parke (19-2-1) is unbeaten since March 2010 and is looking to make a real impact in the UFC Lightweight division.

The Northern Irishman has been training out of Alliance MMA in San Diego alongside Ross Pearson, Dominic Cruz and Phil Davis to name but a few but will have to overcome a tough veteran in Kotani in his next bout. Kotani has fought 50 times with a record of 33-10-7 with a majority of his fights going down under the ZST banner in Japan. Kotani had a two fight stint with the UFC back in 2007 losing to Thiago Tavares and Dennis Siver.

The fight takes place on the UFC’s return to Dublin at the 02 arena and is headlined by a Featherweight bout between Connor McGregor and Cole Miller. A win over a tough veteran like Kotani will certainly boost the Northern Irishman’s stock and push him further up the 155lb roster.
