It was the biggest rivalry of all the fights heading into UFC Dublin. The two were going back and forth on social media and then things nearly kicked off at the weigh-ins (see video below).
The fight itself was pretty tense from the beginning. Both fighters looked to be well matched in the grappling department but it was Parke’s point striking which gave him the edge there.
It was pretty much the same for the second round. Madadi scored a takedown early on but Parke got back to his feet and from there his striking was the difference once again. However things changed slightly in the third as Madadi became more aggressive with his strikes and started to land them forcing Parke to resort to his grappling. A takedown for Parke and some grappling against the cage finished out the fight.
In the end it was a unanimous decision for Parke and he has now halted his two fight skid.
