On Monday night it was revealed that former UFC heavyweight champ will face-off against legendary pro-wrestler The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXX in a couple of months.
So why am I writing about this on a predominantly MMA-based website? Well three and a half years ago both of this men hit the headlines after a UFC event. The Undertaker was doing an interview ringside with Ariel Helwani during which he confronts Brock Lesnar and asks “you wanna do it?” before telling Helwani that they have beef. Brock was fresh off his whopping by Cain Velasquez.
I wonder if the WWE will use this footage as part of the storyline for the two. It would be great planning if this was actually a set-up and planned that far in advance.
On Monday night just as Brock Lesnar was demanding a title shot The Undertaker came out and challenged him to fight at Wrestlemania before choke-slamming him through a table. FYI The Undertaker has never been defeated at Wrestlemania going 21-0 over the years.
