KSW have announced the signing of TUF veteran Marcin Wrzosek (10-3) aka ‘The Polish Zombie’.
Wrzosek was a member of Conor McGregor’s team on season 22 of the UFC’s long running reality TV show. The 28-year-old made it to the semi-finals on the show beating Djamil Chan (11-2) to initially get into the house and then David Teymur (4-1) in the quarter finals before being submitted by Saul Rogers putting an end to his TUF winning dreams.
At the TUF 22 finals in Las Vegas this past December Wrzocek lost a very close split decision to Julian Erosa (15-3) and was surprisingly not kept on in the promotion. A decision that baffled many.
The UFC’s loss is KSW’s gain however as Wrzosek is a ferocious finisher with 70% of his wins coming via tapout or knockout. The featherweight is also well known on both the Polish and the UK scene, the latter being a market the promotion is looking to expand into having held their very first show in England last October.
No doubt Wrzosek will look to make an impression in KSW’s featherweight division where one Artur Sowinski occupies the top spot as champion.
