Co-Main Event – Lightweight
Borys Mańkowski (20-8-1) vs Marcin Wrzosek (14-6-0)
Two more foes collide on Saturday night as the war of words comes to its inevitable conclusion when former KSW champions Borys Mańkowski and Marcin Wrzosek come face to face. In what started as a feud on YouTube between the pair things soon spiralled into a bitter slanging match that has resulted in the two squaring off in the co-main event.
Feeling disrespected by Wrzosek, former welterweight champion Mańkowski aims to end the verbal battle by doing what he does best. Dropping down to lightweight, The Tasmanian Devil makes the walk into the KSW cage for the 15th time since his first outing at KSW 14 in September 2010. After a three-fight losing streak which saw him lose out to Norman Parke, Roberto Soldić and Mamed Khalidov, Mańkowski returned to winning ways in his last fight with a 1st round anaconda choke submission win over Vaso Bakocevic at KSW 51.
Former TUF competitor, Marcin Wrzosek has made no bones about his rabid dislike for his opponent on Saturday night. In what appears to be a genuine disliking of each other, The Polish Zombie has made it perfectly clear that he intends to finish Mańkowski. Winning the featherweight title on what was only his second KSW appearance, beating Artur Sowiński, Wrzosek failed to defend his title when he lost out on a unanimous decision defeat against Kleber Koike Erbst at the mammoth KSW 39: Colosseum back in May 2017.
After losing out to Norman Parke for the interim lightweight title, Wrzosek has another opportunity to throw himself in the mix for the lightweight crown should he beat Mańkowski. Whatever the outcome on Saturday night, fireworks are almost guaranteed as the intense rivalry that has being brewing between the two, comes to a violent end.
