Irish police to investigate Conor McGregor after instagram post

Whilst he has a fight now scheduled with Rafael Dos Anjos it would seem another fight is on the horizon with the law all while living up to his nickname “The Notorious”.

The Gardai are currently investing the UFC featherweight champion based on a picture he posted to his instagram account. The picture shows the champ posing in his car with a balaclava and what looks like an airsoft gun. Check out the picture below:

Put the fight game in the bag and step away from the vehicle.

A Garda spokeswoman told the Irish Mirror: “Gardai in Crumlin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the picture.”

While Airsoft guns under 1 joule are legal in Ireland it is illegal to carry them in public as they are classed as “Real Imitation Firearms”. The law states that if you are travelling with an airsoft gun it must be contained in a suitable carry case.

The penalities for carrying a RIF in public include up to a €5000 fine or imprisonment up to 5 years, or both.
