Invicta FC Releases “Through the Ashes” Episode Three Featuring Atomweight Contender Ashley Cummins

Invicta Fighting Championships today released the third episode of “Through the Ashes,” their ongoing documentary series produced by the promotion.

Each episode of “Through the Ashes” chronicles the martial arts journey of a single Invicta athlete, including never-before-told stories of overcoming adversity inside and outside the cage.

Episode three features Invicta atomweight contender and full-time police officer Ashley “Smashley” Cummins (6-4). The Missouri native, who now resides in San Diego, takes us inside the struggles and triumphs of being a lifelong athlete and martial artist, balancing two very demanding and challenging careers as a professional fighter and officer of the law.

“I want to represent my new gym and my new police department,” said Cummins. “I’m really hungry for this win and to show people what I’m capable of in the atomweight division.”

Cummins will be in action against fellow atomweight Jessica Delboni when Invicta Fighting Championships makes its first trip to the state of Oklahoma, touching down at the FireLake Arena in Shawnee for Invicta FC 32.

The nine-fight card is headlined by a 145-pound fight, pitting undefeated Felicia “FeeNom” Spencer (5-0) up against powerful Pam “Bam” Sorenson (7-2) for the vacant Invicta FC featherweight championship.
