Following Dana White’s Contender Series Brendan Loughnane speaks

This past Tuesday Manchester-born Brendan Loughnane became the first Englishman to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series. He fought Bill Algeo to a unanimous decision win.

The 29-year-old has been knocking on UFC’’s door ever since his sole trip to the Octagon in 2012, when he lost to fellow Englishman Mike Wilkinson in Queensland, Australia. That particular opportunity emerged from the UFC’s reality TV show, The Ultimate Fighter, and Loughnane was hoping for similar success again.
