#BAMMA26 is fast approaching featuring an absolutely stacked card as the promotion make their return to Dublin, Ireland.
But whilst the promotion push on full steam ahead for that show, you can bet your bottom dollar that matchmaker Jude Samuels has already been planning ahead for the next show.
So in typical #WHOATV fashion we look at some bouts which we wouldn’t mind seeing take place;
Kane Mousah Vs Rick Selvarajah
This one pretty much writes itself and gives both guys the opportunity to put their losses to Lonsdale Champion Marc Diakiese behind them.In the build-up to the Mousah Vs Diakiese bout Mousah stated that Selvarajah wasn’t on his level and so there is definitely a story to be built up between the pair. Since his defeat to Diakiese, Selvarajah has gone 1-1 whilst Mousah has sat on the sidelines and so #BAMMA27 would be a perfect opportunity to see him return against Selvarajah.
Marc Diakiese Vs Martin Stapleton
Well if Diakiese isn’t snapped up for #UFCManchester in the meantime this fight just has to be made right? There is no denying that these two are the best Lightweights in BAMMA right now and it would be an injustice if we didn’t get to see just exactly who was the better man. Diakiese is pretty much the up and coming poster boy of the promotion with five wins under BAMMA and an undefeated record to his name. Stapleton on the other hand is the more experienced fighter who has reached the heights of the UFC already and following a rough patch in his career is having a resurgence in the form of five back to back stoppage wins. C’mon Jude make this fight!
Tom Duquesnoy Vs Alan Philpott
Well firstly Philpott will need to get past a tough test at #BAMMA26 when he puts his belt on the line against Aaron Blackwell, but if “The Apprentice” is success in defending his belt then you could certainly argue he should get a crack at Duquesnoy’s 135lbs BAMMA World Title. Duquesnoy has just absolutely destroyed everyone in his path and short of a call to the UFC really needs to be testing himself against the highest level of opponents in Europe, of which Philpott is definitely one.
Brendan Loughnane Vs Mike Wilkinson
Where do I sign? Now I know both men have fights lined up (Loughnane fighting Eden Newton at TFC in a few weeks and Wilkinson fighting on ACB Glasgow in October) but this rematch would be a great fight for both men right now. Wilkinson is coming off a rough patch having suffered back to back losses for the first time in his career. Loughnane on the other hand is coming off a win over David Lee and is highly expected to get past Eden Newton in a few weeks time. The pair first fought in December 2012 and I would love to see them fight again to really see just how much they have progressed as martial artists.
