The first fights for Cage Warriors 102 are set as the promotion returns to the Indigo at the O2 on Saturday 2nd March. Following his two fight run in the UFC, all action fighter Craig White returns to the promotion where he made his name on the domestic scene as he aims to get straight back into the welterweight title picture. Flyweight Sam Creasey also appears on a London card once again and will be looking for redemption at the same venue where he missed out on claiming the promotion’s title last March. No opponents have been named for these Cage Warriors veterans as of yet.
In the lightweight division, a mouth-watering contest between Rhys McKee and Perry Goodwin has been booked where the winner will place themselves straight into the title conversation. Cage Warriors managed to fend off other interested parties to sign McKee last year and he made an impressive debut in December as he defeated Jefferson George in the first round by TKO. His opponent, Goodwin, is coming off of a stunning performance against the dangerous Alexander Jacobsen at Cage Warriors 98 where he used slick movement and striking to knock out the Norwegian in the second round.
Off the back of his 2 minute victory at Cage Warriors 100, Jai Herbert returns to the cage against Steve O’Keefe in another lightweight battle. Both men are on three fight win streaks and with 15 finishes out of their 16 combined wins, it is unlikely that this one will head to the judges scorecards.
UFC, ACB and KSW veteran, John Maguire will look to get back in the win column as he takes on fan favourite Brad Wheeler in a 175lbs catchweight fight. Since his last Cage Warriors appearance in November 2017, Maguire has gone 1-1 outside of the promotion, most recently losing to previous Cage Warriors welterweight title holder Stefano Paterno. 28 year old Wheeler will be competing in his 31st professional contest and will be looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Nathan Jones at Cage Warriors 99.
This event will be shown live exclusively around the world on UFC Fight Pass.
