Cian Cowley: ‘I don’t even know how to say his last name’

Lightweight sensation Cian Cowley is coming off a loss, his first under the BRAVE CF banner, but has been reenergized by the possibility of bouncing back at the most powerful MMA event of the year, at BRAVE 24: London. The Irishman will face promotional newcomer Maciej Gierszweski in the co-main event of a historic show, set to transform the world of mixed martial arts.

BRAVE 24 will be an exclusive, invite-only event, which will expose and connect the highest level of influencers, celebrities, businessmen and politicians to mixed martial arts, something that Cowley says, on his personal vlog, that he is looking forward to experiencing, even if it’s inside the Arena, as a professional fighter in action.

“My next fight is in London. It’s an invite-only show. The idea is that there’s going to be celebrities there. Social media influencers, people from the government. It’s a VIP show, a black-tie, red carpet event, there will be dinner and shows. So, it’s the first of its kind in a professional MMA organization, so it’s a big thing to be on it. I can’t wait to go out there”, said Cian, who also talked about his opponent.

“I don’t even know how to say his last name. It’s Maciej something (Gierszweski). I know that he made the Lightweight limit on the scale for his last fight, so that shows he can make the weight, which is good. But I know that now is going to be harder for him to make the weight. But that doesn’t change anything”, explained Cowley.

BRAVE Combat Federation is set to make its much-awaited debut in England, and the promotion is going all out to make sure that its first show in the country is an unforgettable one. The fastest-growing MMA organization in the world will host BRAVE 24, on July 25th, at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, inside the Copper Box Arena, in London, to an exclusive crowd, filled with dignitaries and celebrities from all over the world.
