Former Cage Warriors champion and TUF veteran Chris Fields (10-5-1) has signed with one of the top European promotions in BAMMA.
The UK based organisation made the announcement early Thursday morning and revealed that the Irishman will make his debut on February 21st at BAMMA 18 against French fighter Cheick Kone (12-3).
Telling BAMMA.com Fields said ‘I’m looking forward to putting my shin on some guys chin for all the BAMMA fans’.
Fields hasn’t been in full competitive action in nearly 18 months although the middleweight appeared as a light-heavyweight contestant on the 19th season of TUF alongside his teammate Cathal Pendred. The UFC didn’t sign Fields following the show which was surprising to some given that UFC Dublin was around the corner.
Fields is a training partner to Conor McGregor, Ais Daly, Paddy Holohan and, the previously mentioned, Cathal Pendred.
