Brave 13 Preview

Today, Saturday 9th June sees Bahrain based promotion Brave CF mark their first foray on European shores with the highly anticipated Brave 13: Europe evolution set to take place in Belfast’s SSE arena. Brave have marked their intent on being a global player, establishing an office in Dublin, seeing the Irish and UK MMA scene as a key part of their global strategy.

The card sees an array of local talent from SBG, Next gen N.I, Team Rhyano and others take part in a card that boasts names such as Stephen Loman, UFC veteran and TUF smashes winner Norman Parke as well as Myles Price, Frans Mlambo and many other high level fighters. The card has variety with 6 former immaf representatives for their respected countries stepping into the cage to build their professional careers as well as boasting 26 fighters from 15 different nations, signalling Brave CF’s intent to make a mark in this landmark event.

Our main event sees Brave bantamweight champion Stephen Loman defend his title in a much anticipated rematch with SBG fighter Frans Mlambo. Frans currently sitting at 5-2 as a professional will no doubt understand the outcome of this fight will have a severe impact on his fledgling career.

The co-main event sees Northern Ireland’s own ‘Stormin’ Norman Parke look to build momentum following a convincing decision victory in Wroclaw only 2 months ago against dangerous KSW veteran Lucasz ‘Sascha’ Chlewicki. His opponent ‘Magic’ Myles Price, on a two fight win streak, seeks to avenge a loss to Parke 8 years ago in Cage Contender when both men were establishing themselves as professionals.

Fan favourite Decky ‘the diamond’ Dalton faces off against Zack ‘the hurricane’ Zane in what promises to be a back and forth war, with Zane currently riding a 3 fight win streak. Next Gen N.I former Bamma flyweight champion Andy ‘Tazz’ Young will face scouser Brian ‘big bad wolf’ Creighton who unfortunately came in over the flyweight limit.

The event is available to view via fire.tv and eirsport in the republic of Ireland, see the final card below. Follow Whoatv for results and reactions.
