Akop Szostak Now Faces Jamie Sloane at KSW 45

After John Smith was forced to withdraw from KSW 45, Akop Szostak (3-2) will now face heavy hitting Brit Jamie Sloane (8-5) at KSW 45 in The SSE Arena, Wembley on October 6.

Akop Szostak is one of the most popular personal trainers in Poland and has amassed an Instagram following of almost 300k. The Warsaw native made his pro MMA debut in 2015 and has been training in the Berkut WCA Fight Team gym, one of the top gyms in Poland and home to the likes of Anzor Azhiev, Damian Janikowski, Mariusz Pudzianowski and many more.

The 30-year-old began his MMA adventure with a 30 second KO before winning his follow up fight via decision against a much more experienced opponent. Back to back losses followed for Szoztak, including one against strongman Tyberiusz Kowalczyk, before taking a break away from the sport. In April this year he returned with a bang and won via second round TKO.

Stepping in as a late replacement, Bournemouth’s Jamie Sloane is both a dangerous and game fighter who holds a 100% finishing rate. None of his thirteen bouts have passed the second round. Sloane will be looking to get back to winning ways after dropping fights to veterans Alessio Sakara and Karlos Vemola, respectively, in his past two outings.

This fight joins a stacked card for KSW London that includes a heavyweight title fight between Phil De Fries and Karol Bedorf, a rematch between welterweight champion Dricus Du Plessis and Roberto Soldic, a clash between James McSweeney and Thiago SIlva, as well as the beginning of a four-man tournament between Michal Materla, Damian Janikowski, Scott Askham, and Marcin Wojcik to crown a new KSW middleweight champion.

And who can forget the unpredictable heavyweight collision between the infamous Popek Monster and bodybuilder & social media star Erko Jun.

KSW 45: The Return to Wembley will be live around the world on www.KSWTV.com and tickets are on sale right now from AXS.com.
