As we continue our series looking at the fights that undoubtedly have to be made in 2018 on UK soil it would be remiss to omit what arguably has intrigued fans of both Paddy Pimblett and Brendan Loughnane. Fans and foes alike are all asking the same question, just who would win in a clash between both men.
2018 would definitely be the right time to make this fight. With Pimblett set to make a triumphant return, all things aligning, when he meets Alexis Savvidis at Cage Warriors 90 at the Echo Arena, Liverpool. Given the purse needed to secure this fight so far ACB appears to be the only promotion prepared to invest in the match up.

Watching Paddy Pimblett on the sidelines when he returns to the cage will be Loughnane. Currently recovering from a broken arm which he sustained when he faced Paata Tsxapelia. Whilst he won the clash in spectacular fashion via KO, the break sustained earlier in the bout only goes to further underline Loughnanes tenacity, durability and indomitable spirit.
After what seems like many months of back and forth online poking both men are still as keen to make this fight happen. Many have argued that with Loughnanes impressive list of clashes to date the calibre of opponents he has faced marks him out as the clear favourite. When you compare the level of opposition they have both faced side by side it’s apparent that ‘The Baddy’ is at a disadvantage. The old adage applies here though ‘this is MMA’.
