Bellator have today announced a new Catchweight bout featuring Kevin ‘Baby Slice’ Ferguson Jr. and newcomer D.J Griffin for the upcoming Bellator 179 at Wembley Arena, May 19th. Kevin Ferguson Jr’s father, the late, great Kimbo Slice, had agreed to fight at Bellator 158 in London last year before he tragically passed away last June. Now his son, ‘Baby Slice’ will hope to make his Dad proud in London.
Commenting ahead of his trip to the U.K, Baby Slice:
‘I am so excited to get back to work and show the world how hard I’ve been grinding. On a personal level, this fight means a lot to me, not only because I’ll be making my Bellator main card debut, but because I get to show the people in London how a Slice gets down – just like Pop’s told me, keep your guard up, and stand your ground – I’m going to Slice this Griffin guy up real bad.’
