At #BAMMA25 Marc Diakiese and Kane Mousah finally clash for the BAMMA Lonsdale Lightweight Title. The Lightweight pair were set to fight at BAMMA 17 originally but an injury forced Mousah from the bout which has allowed the pair to really get under each others skin.
The Champion Diakiese stopped by to chat with the host of the #WHOACAST, Bryan Lacey this week to talk about the fight, his preparation and get his thoughts on how the fight will play out.
Diakiese scored a huge knockout victory in his last fight against Rick Selvarajah and “The Bonecrusher” is expecting another early night at #BAMMA25.
“I do feel like I want to go out there and show my skills, but I do feel like I will beat him in the first round.”
“He makes too many mistakes for a professional which I am going to expose. I have watched him and in every fight he makes a mistake, I don’t know what sort of training he is doing.”
The beef between the pair has been boiling away since their originally scheduled bout back at #BAMMA17 but has definitely toned down since the bout was announced. And Diakiese believes that is because his opponent is now back tracking and doubting himself.
“He talks a fight that he cant handle. Deep down he knows he is not going to win. I know I am going to win no problem. He is a pussy, he is shitting himself. He doesn’t want to say too much cause he knows what is coming.“
The trash talking has definitely gotten under the skin of Diakiese but whilst he won’t let it affect his mental preparation going into this fight, he is definitely looking at punishing his opponent when they meet.
“I want to put him out for a bit, and give him some punishment. That’s what I’m looking to do, I want to proper hurt him. I want to show him he is not on that level yet.”
“I don’t need a camp to fight Kane. He is weak, he is terrible. I am just going to use technique to beat him, I don’t need no strength.”
Elsewhere on the card, Martin Stapleton will be putting his BAMMA World Lightweight Title on the line against Damien Lapilus. Diakiese thinks that the challenger will take the Title at #BAMMA25 and believes that Martin Stapleton is just an “average” fighter and he will be coming for the World Title after beating Mousah.
“I know I am number one in Europe right now. After this I have heard Stapleton talking about me and I am coming for that World Title. I am the only person who has defended the Lonsdale Title twice, I feel like I have the right to fight for both Titles. After Lapilus’s last fight I feel that he will take it away from him, Stapleton is average.”
